Facebook Lead Forms vs Landing Pages: Which Gets Better Seller Leads?

By James Todman, Founder of AgentHype. Updated October 2026.

The short answer

Custom landing pages produce better seller leads. Facebook lead forms produce more names, more cheaply, but many of those people barely remember filling in the form. A branded landing page with qualifying questions gives you fewer, warmer leads and far more information about each one.

Why lead forms are tempting

Facebook lead forms open inside the app with the homeowner's name, email and phone number already filled in. Two taps and they are done. That makes the cost per lead look great on a report. It is also the main problem. When it takes two taps, plenty of people tap without much intent, and some do not realise an agent is about to call them.

Agents running lead forms often describe the same result: a few leads a week, a couple outside the area, and the rest do not pick up the phone.

What a landing page does differently

  • It qualifies. The homeowner answers questions about their property and their selling timeframe. Certain answers filter people out before they become a lead, which removes many tyre kickers.
  • It builds trust. The page is designed in your brand, with your face and your results. The owner knows exactly who they are dealing with before they submit.
  • It captures more data. Address, timeframe and property details arrive with the lead, so your first call is informed.
  • It captures early signals. If someone enters their address and timeframe but does not finish, AgentHype still sends you those details as an early seller signal.
  • It improves retargeting. Visitors to the page can be retargeted with your sales and market updates, even if they never submit.

Do you get fewer leads?

Usually, yes, at least at first. That is the trade. We have split tested branded landing pages against generic, white label approaches, and the branded approach consistently produces higher quality leads. Some price-curious owners will still come through. You cannot remove them entirely. But far more of your leads will be owners who expect your call and want to talk.

Generic pages have the same problem

A landing page only works if it is yours. A generic "what is your home worth" page shared across many agents tells the homeowner nothing about you, and they will not be expecting a call from a specific agent. The page should look and feel like your website.

The bottom line

Cheap leads that do not answer the phone are not cheap. A branded landing page that qualifies, informs and retargets is how you turn ad spend into appraisals.
